This past week I was missing my child and doing my best to contact her by phone. I was able to reach her dad and, in the ensuing conversation, received a huge blessing. He recently moved from one house to another and having done that same thing myself within the last 4 months, I get what a hassle it can be. So I ventured forth in the conversation, asking him how the move was going. Mind you, I was feeling a bit guilty that he'd need to move at all, as I was the one who initiated our divorce several years ago. (Thanks, Saboteur, for rearing your head when I most need you.)
He responded that the move was, like all moves, a hassle. He then shared that Lucy, our daughter's Nanny, had brought 6 people with her from church and they had cleaned his entire house for himself and my daughter. I was touched and after the call cried tears of joy that my daughter is held in the grace of those around her. Again, I'm reminded that Spirit provides, no matter the hard choices we must make.
I later heard from my daughter that a young friend she knows at Lucy's church had come too, and they'd gone to the park as the cleaning began. The picture of a lovely Sunday afternoon for my girl was now complete.
